Can you ski if you have heart disease?
Whether patients with heart disease can ski depends on their condition. Patients with mild heart disease may be able to engage in low-intensity, short-term skiing activities while controlling risks, if they can be evaluated by a physician and cooperate with appropriate training and monitoring. However, skiing is definitely not recommended for high-risk patients, such as those with severe heart valve disease or arrhythmia. Be sure to consult a professional physician to evaluate your condition so you can enjoy winter sports safely.
