Will orangutans attack people?
Orangutans are not naturally bloodthirsty, and their attacks on humans are mostly due to threats to survival or competition for territory. Observations from zoos and research institutions show that proper environmental management and avoidance of stimulation can effectively reduce the risk of attack. Never generalize to all orangutans based on a single incident. Their behavior should be viewed rationally based on scientific research. Only correct understanding can promote the peaceful coexistence between humans and orangutans.
